The Libyan Consulate General in Tunisia urged all Libyans stranded in Tunisia, who have applied for housing subsidy, to respect the measures taken in Tunisia to combat the spread of the Covid-19 virus.

In a statement, the Consulate stated that a crisis committee has been established to monitor the well being of stranded libyan families and to provide assistance when needed.
The committee called on all Libyans to avoid going outdoors and abide by the instructions set by the Ministry of Health and wait for further information from the consulate.

Last week, the Government of National Accord’s (GNA) Foreign Ministry’s spokesperson confirmed that Libya’s diplomatic missions had not recorded any Libyan COVID-19 cases abroad. He pointed out that the GNA is taking preventive and precautionary measures inside Libya to ensure an outbreak does not take place.
