Haftar Names New Commander of Central Military Zone and Sirte Operations Room

On Monday, the General Commander of the Libyan National Army (LNA), Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar, appointed Major General Kamal al-Jebali as commander of the Central Military Zone and Sirte Operations Room.

Haftar also appointed Brigadier General Ali Mohamed Omar as the assistant commander of Sirte Operations Room.

The previous commander of the Sirte Operations Room, Major General Salem Driaq, and his assistant Gaddafi Al-Sadai, were killed by a Turkish drone strike on Saturday.
