LNA Inaugurates a Military Hospital at Benina to Face COVID-19

On Wednesday, a military field hospital with a capacity for 109 beds was inaugurated in the Benina district to face COVID-19. This comes amid instructions from the Commander of the Libyan National Army, Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar, to have the army assist the government to combat the Covid-19 virus.

The LNA commander ordered on March 29, the establishing of a further four new field hospitals in the cities of Zintan, Sirte, Sabha, and Ajdabiya. Each of the field hospitals will have a 50 bed capacity.

The Libyan National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) announced on Wednesday, April 1st, two more patients had been diagnosed with COVID-19. This raises the total number of people infected in Libya to 10.
