What Did a Turkish Mafia Leader Have to Say About Erdogan’s involvement in Libya?

Turkish mafia leader, Sedat Peker has resurfaced this week in a new video revealing a set of hidden aspects related to the Turkish intervention in Libya, and efforts of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to influence the North-African country.

Peker said the presence of Turks in Libya was very important, and they should remain for the declared reasons related to the “blue homeland.”

He noted that a minister of the outgoing Government of National Accord (GNA), headed by Fayez Al-Sarraj, revealed details of a meeting between Erdogan and Sarraj. The Turkish mafia leader has kept the name of the minister anonymous.

“Erdogan asked Al-Sarraj to award tenders to a number of his subsidiaries, and Al-Sarraj approved and then returned to Libya and submitted his resignation,” the Turkish mafia leader added.

He pointed out that Al-Sarraj’s threat to resign came after he became cornered between Erdogan’s request and similar requests made by leaders of armed groups, and businessmen supporting him. Peker concluded that the failure of these people to obtain the tenders prompted Al-Sarraj to threaten to resign from his position.
