The Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Libya, Lars Tummers, said that it was time for a humanitarian truce in Libya in order to fight the Covid-19 pandemic.
“Now is the time for a humanitarian truce to jointly fight Covid-19, ensure necessary funding and equitable distribution of medical equipment. We can only do this together.” Tummers said on Twitter, citing the anniversary of the current conflict that started on April 4, 2019 in Tripoli.
