A group of young Libyan men in Libya’s second largest city Benghazi have started to manufacture protective medical masks through their individual efforts to assist the medical staff in the face of infection against the Coronavirus.

The Libyan youth used 3D printers to produce these masks, according to a video published by the newspaper Wednesday.

Given that doctors are more people at risk of the coronavirus, because of its direct dealings with the patient, and in light of the lack of protective equipment, with the increasing demand worldwide, brought the idea of protective equipment for medical staff industry, according to one of the participators in the initiative.

He added that those masks are distinguished by their simple design, which increases the opportunity to provide them in hospitals in record time and large quantities, in case we find someone who supports the implementation of this idea.

It should be noted that in the early hours of Wednesday, the Libyan National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) announced that the number of coronavirus-infected cases in Libya increased to 21, including one death and two recovery cases.
