Libya’s NOC Provides Medical Equipment to Tackle COVID-19

In coordination with Austrian company OMV, the National Oil Corporation (NOC) has launched an initiative to provide medical equipment to municipalities dealing with the emerging COVID-19 pandemic.

The equipment includes masks, protective clothing, thermometers, and sterilization materials.These will be distributed to municipalities in need of the supplies.

Director of the Department of Social Development at the NOC, Mukhtar Abdel-Daeem, stated that the Corporation would like to help support the healthcare sector in halting the spread of the virus in the country.

He noted that this initiative could save hundreds, and possibly thousands, of lives.

The NOC is coordinating with the heads of municipalities on their projected needs to distribute the supplies accordingly.
