Arab League Condemns Fighting In Libya

The General Secretariat of the Arab League has expressed its deep discontent at the persistence of the conflict in Libya, condemning the lack of a humanitarian truce despite previous agreements.

The UN, Arab League, as well as various international, regional and local organizations have called for an end to the conflict, peace talks, and a humanitarian ceasefire to combat COVID-19.

The General Secretariat has also expressed its concern about the deteriorating humanitarian situation in Libya due to the recent surge in violence. It renewed calls to protect civilian lives, refrain from targeting residential areas, economic and healthcare facilities, as well as to abstain from cutting off water and power supplies.
