Interim Government: Almost 2000 Citizens Remain Stranded Abroad

Abdel-Hadi Al-Huwaij, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Interim Government, confirmed that the number of citizens stranded abroad had reached 1,789. The final list of stranded citizens was given to the Prime Minister, Abdullah Al-Thinni.

The citizens were located in a number of countries, including, 902 in Egypt, 431 in Tunisia, 317 in Turkey, in addition to 47 in a various of European countries, 89 in Jordan, two citizens in Iraq, and one citizen in Lebanon.

Al-Thinni referred the list to the, ‘Supreme Committee to Combat the Coronavirus’ to take the necessary precautionary and preventive measures, before the repatriation of the nationals.
