The spokesman for the Libyan National Army (LNA), Major General Ahmed Al-Mismari, said that the Libyan Government of National Accord (GNA) had bombed the city of Tarhuna with more than 20 missiles on Saturday.

Al-Mismari claimed that all missiles had targeted homes and civilian areas, stating that the damage caused by the attack would be documented.

Al-Mismari emphasized that targeting civilians is a war crime punishable by law. He called on the UN Special Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) to condemn the GNA’s attack.

The spokesman also said that the Libyan National Army would respond to the attack.
