The Libyan Embassy in London and the Consulate General in Manchester announced on Wednesday that they have begun quarantine procedures for Libyan nationals in view of their repatriation.

The Embassy explained that the list of quarantine hotels, names and reception dates would be announced soon.

They confirmed that the nationals would be divided into batches in order to maintain social distancing measures.

The Embassy also said that nationals wishing to return to Libya would have to sign a written statement in which they pledged to abide by all precautionary measures that must be followed during the quarantine period. They must also agree to bearing financial and legal responsibility should they choose to leave quarantine or decide against returning to Libya.

The Embassy said that all citizens would undergo PCR medical tests upon arrival at their places of quarantine and that those who tested positive would be transferred for treatment.
