Arab Maghreb Union: We Reject Foreign Meddling in Libya

Head of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Libyan House of Representatives (HoR), Yousef Al Agouri, held a call with the Secretary General of the Arab Maghreb Union, Tayeb Bakoush, to discuss latest developments in Libya.

Al Agouri stressed the importance of the Union’s role in achieving stability in Libya and the positive role it can play in rejecting foreign meddling in the country, which is a member state of the Union. He added that stability in Libya will have a positive impact on the region.

Al Agouri reiterated his appreciation for the Union and the role it could play in strengthening relationships and cooperation across the Maghreb.

Secretary General Bakoush stressed the importance of achieving peace in Libya and condemned foreign meddling there, adding that the Union is prepared to play a role in Libyan negotiations if called upon to do so.
