The Libyan Health Minister, Saad Agoub, requested travellers arriving to Libya from Turkey via Tunisia to abide by a mandatory quarantine period in order to reduce the risk of exposing their families and surroundings to Covid-19.

According to the Ministry’s statement, Agoub called on the municipal higher medical advisory committee to monitor all travellers returning from abroad and to quarantine them as prescribed by the government’s measures to confront the Coronavirus pandemic.

The Health Minister also called for a daily examination of those who have been discharged, stressing that the community’s health is a red line and that citizens should cooperate with authorities to help prevent the spread of the virus.
