Former Minister of Health Describes 2011 Events as a Conspiracy

The Former Minister of Health in Libya’s Interim Government, Fatima Hamroush, stated on her official Twitter account that what transpired in Libya in 2011 was a conspiracy that amounted to nothing less than the largest armed robbery in history.

Hamroush’s statement came amidst continuous bombing, destruction, terror, injury and death among Libya’s civilian population — particularly in Tripoli on Saturday.

“To those who still say that what happened in Libya in 2011 was to protect civilians, you should review your Libyan affiliations and origins”, the former Health Minister tweeted.

According to her, most Libyans recognised that what happened in 2011 was a conspiracy that was still ongoing.

Oil-rich Libya has been mired in chaos since the ouster and killing of Muammar Ghadafi in 2011, with two rival authorities and a multitude of militias vying for control of the country.

The country’s internationally recognised government is based in Tripoli, while Khalifa Haftar — the commander of the Libyan National Army — supports a parallel administration based in the east.
