The Criminal Investigation Department of Benghazi’s Security Directorate arrested seven Sudanese nationals for entering the country illegally and for smuggling motor vehicles from Libya to Sudan.

The criminal investigation department said in a press briefing today that “two foreign nationals without identification documents were detained. Upon interrogation, they revelaed that they worked with five other people to smuggle vehicles from Libya to Sudan, after entering the country illegally.”

The department added that the smugglers were arrested in an “ambush, where they confessed to their illegal activities” and that the appropriate legal measures were taken against them.
