9 Libyan doctors headed to Italy on sunday in order to provide medical assistance in confronting the coronavirus pandemic, as Italy is one of the worst countries affected by the virus globally.

In a statement, the National Cente for Disease Control (NCDC) indicated that this step aims to provide medical assistance to the Italian state, as well as to gain practical experience in dealing with patients infected with the virus.

NCDC also added that doctors will stay in Italy’s hospitals for a month, during which they will gain experience in dealing with the virus.
