A Libyan-Tunisian real estate and investment exhibition and conference will be organised in Tripoli from 18-20 June 2023. Economic actors from the two countries are expected to meet over a period of three days.
The economic exhibition and conference is an excellent occasion to learn about the available opportunities in the real estate, construction, and works sectors in both countries. In addition to strengthening relations and interests between economic actors.
The exhibition includes nearly 50 pavilions and space for bilateral meetings from Libya and Tunisia. This will provide an opportunity for marketing, selling, and direct communication between the actors in the Libyan-Tunisian market.
The conference will be a space for dialogue and presentation of the available opportunities for real estate investment between the two countries. Specialists from both sides will be exposed to the available opportunities in real estate investment, construction and public works, in addition to the legal aspects and procedures used to facilitate the completion of projects.
Notably, Abdel-Hafeez Al-Sakraoufi, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Tunisian-Libyan Businessmen, announced that a conference will be held from 4-6 June in Benghazi, to discuss the reconstruction of the city.
He affirmed that the reconstruction project will provide jobs for more than 20,000 Tunisians.
During the conference, a contract will be unveiled for the construction of an integrated city in Libya. This includes 10,000 housing units, four commercial towers, large areas, several malls, hospitals and schools, at a value of $1.5 billion dollars, on an area of 700.13 hectares.
Al-Sakraoufi said in a statement to Al-Sabah Al-Tunisia that “the infrastructure companies that will implement this huge project will be specialised in electricity, building materials, communications, and others.”
“It was agreed that Tunisian companies will operate the project, while Tunisian and Egyptian workers will be used,” he added.
He expressed his hope that the project will be completed in 2030, as the handover will take place in stages.
