Tunisian President Says Solution To Libyan Crisis Must Be Libyan-Libyan

In a telephone call with French President Emmanuel Macron, Tunisian President Qais Saeed stressed that the solution to the Libyan crisis must be Libyan-Libyan and without external interference. He pointed out that Tunisia would not be a front for any party involved in Libya.

Saeed reiterated to Macron that Tunisia was one of the most affected state’s due to the continuous fighting in Libya. He rejected any division of the Libyan state.

The call also touched on the unique relationship between France and Tunisia. They discussed furthering bilateral relations in this particular circumstance, among other avenues for cooperation.

Macron expressed France’s readiness to provide assistance to Tunisia. President Saeed stressed that the whole world has entered a new stage of history that needs ideas, concepts, and mechanisms different from the ones that preceded it.
