The Libyan Air Ambulance Service has taken delivery of a brand-new Bell 505 helicopter, the first of three contracted from Bell, the leading American helicopter manufacturing company.
In a statement, the service revealed plans to send a number of pilots for necessary training on these helicopters.
The agency confirmed that this step is part of its strategy to enhance its air fleet, which would boost its efficiency and response speed, allowing it to reach remote areas that do not have airports.
Through this strategic partnership with Bell, the service aims to extend its critical healthcare delivery to the farthest corners of the nation, thereby improving the overall emergency response time and potentially saving countless lives.
Optimising the potential of the Bell 505 helicopters, the service is poised to offer faster, more effective emergency responses, particularly in remote and inaccessible areas, thus elevating its reputation as a leading provider of air ambulance services in the region.
To maximise the effectiveness of these new assets, selected pilots will undergo comprehensive training, equipping them with the necessary skills to utilise the full capabilities of these advanced helicopters. This measure will ensure the safe and efficient operation of the helicopters, further enhancing the service’s capacity to provide immediate medical attention in cases of emergencies.
This strategic move aligns with the ongoing efforts of the Libyan Air Ambulance Service to augment its air fleet, as part of its commitment to improve its response capacity and provide exceptional healthcare delivery to the Libyan people.
