The Russian Ambassador in Libya, Aydar Aganin, has recently affirmed that the Ukrainian situation “does not impede the evolution of Russia’s full-fledged relations with Libya, encompassing even the realm of military and technical cooperation.”
In an exclusive interview, Aganin emphasized that “the intensification of relations with Libya would commence from education, medicine, and commerce. It would also extend to the supply of agricultural crops and oils. “
He further stated that Russia could “assist Libyan authorities on pressing matters such as migration, drug smuggling, and oil via the Ministry of Interior.”
As well as making note of the readiness expressed by members of the Presidential Council and the government to attend the forthcoming Russian-African summit in St. Petersburg.
This assurance comes as Russia continues to foster strong international relationships, underlining its commitment to assist Libya in various sectors.
From education to commerce, agriculture to the oil industry, the promise of assistance extends to handling sensitive issues like migration and drug smuggling. These discussions demonstrate Russia’s investment in fortifying its relationship with Libya, regardless of the ongoing Ukrainian issue.
