On Saturday, Libya’s Minister of State for Women’s Affairs, Intisar Abboud attended the third Arab-African Union for Economic Integration Forum in Egypt, highlighting the pivotal role of Arab women in the world of business.
The event, which was titled “Fostering Arab-African Investment in Egypt: Construction and Action,” took place under the auspices of Mia Abdullah, President of the Moroccan-Egyptian Association.
Abboud praised the “significant contribution of Arab women, particularly businesswomen, in the sectors of investment and leadership.” She also emphasised their crucial role in advancing sustainable development.
The forum served as a stage for the presentation of an array of industrial and architectural projects, aimed at fostering cooperation among Arab countries.
With Egypt playing host to the event, it underscored the nation’s efforts to stimulate Arab-African economic integration and foster investment. The Minister’s attendance underlines the growing recognition of women’s indispensable roles in the economies of the region.
Abboud is a renowned political figure known for her robust advocacy for women’s rights and empowerment, particularly in the realm of business and investment. Her participation continues her longstanding efforts to encourage and promote the inclusion of women in the economic development of Arab nations.
The Forum is a high-profile event that brings together leaders, business people, and policymakers from across Africa and the Arab world. It aims to stimulate dialogue, facilitate knowledge exchange, and foster collaborations aimed at enhancing economic integration between these two regions.
Egypt is strategically positioned as a major hub for Arab-African relations. It’s geographic location and longstanding relationships with the both regions make it a natural facilitator of economic cooperation, and integration within these regions.
