Libyan Prime Minister of the Parliament-designate government, Osama Hammad, stressed his government’s commitment to supporting reconstruction efforts in Libya.

During his speech at the inauguration of Benghazi University’s main administration building, Hammad affirmed the importance of expediting maintenance and reconstruction efforts. He called for prioritising the resumption of studies in an environment that respects knowledge and students.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Libyan National Army (LNA), Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar, inaugurated Benghazi University’s main administration building and entrance gate on Friday, alongside Prime Minister Hammad.

Hammad welcomed Haftar and Deputy speakers of the House of Representatives (HoR), praising the LNA’s efforts in Libya.

Hammad emphasised the need for the government to collaborate with all stakeholders to develop and rebuild Benghazi and other cities, especially in the eastern, central, and southern regions, as well as some areas in the west.

Hammad stressed that the opening of the first phase of this massive project underscores its significance as a symbol of education and culture, representing higher education across Libya.
