On Saturday, Libya commenced its nationwide local youth council elections, under the rallying cry “Our Youth, a Pledge to the Nation.”
This pivotal event represents a transformative opportunity for the Libyan youth to actively engage in the democratic process, contributing to the shaping of their nation’s future and policies.
The Ministry of Youth, recognising the crucial role of these elections, has called upon the Libyan youth to participate wholeheartedly.
The nationwide elections have drawn significant interest, with over 100,000 young Libyans registered to vote, reflecting a collective desire among the youth to play a more active role in their country’s governance and future development.
This year’s elections aim to fill 200 seats across local youth councils in 100 municipalities, underscoring a significant move towards empowering young Libyans and fostering their involvement in the political domain.
