Libya’s Administrative Control Authority (ACA) and Italy have pledged to strengthen their cooperation, particularly in the fields of oversight and combating corruption. In a meeting at the ACA headquarters in Tripoli, ACA head Abdullah Qadarboh and Italian Ambassador Gianluca Alberini discussed enhancing bilateral ties and advancing ongoing collaborative projects.

The discussions, highlighted in a Facebook post by the ACA, focused on bolstering cooperation across various sectors and pursuing joint initiatives. The meeting emphasized the importance of collaboration between Italy’s Guardia di Finanza and its anti-corruption agency to open new cooperation avenues in oversight and anti-corruption efforts.

Qadarboh expressed that this meeting underscores the ACA’s dedication to international cooperation and the strengthening of bilateral relations in oversight and anti-corruption, aiming for an exchange of expertise to achieve common goals.

The ACA sees this engagement as a crucial step in enhancing the partnership between Libya and Italy, supporting joint efforts for mutual benefits, and contributing to peace, stability, and sustainable development in the region.

This initiative between Libya and Italy signifies a renewed dedication to fighting corruption and improving oversight, intending to create a more transparent and accountable framework essential for the region’s stability and development.
