Libyan Prime Minister of the Parliament-designated Government, Osama Hammad, discussed the situation in the south and reconstruction efforts with the Second Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Misbah Duma.
In a statement issued by the government, Hammad was briefed on the progress of ongoing projects in the southern region.
During a meeting held at Cabinet Headquarters in Benghazi, Hammad emphasised that the Libyan government prioritizes the well-being of all regions and cities in Libya.
The Libyan PM affirmed that the security stability witnessed in cities under the control of the Libyan government is a result of the sacrifices made by the Libyan National Army (LNA), which has led to the reconstruction and development of cities in the eastern, western, and southern regions.
He commended the role of the LNA’s General Command, led by Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar, in securing the country against imminent threats and fighting terrorism on behalf of the world.
On Wednesday, Hammad stressed the government’s commitment to providing essential services and ensuring stability across the nation, despite international non-recognition.
Hammad added that the lack of international recognition for his government has spurred the administration to take significant steps towards self-reliance and service delivery to the Libyan people.
