GNA Threatens To Terminate Contracts of 70 Medical Employees In Al-Zawiya

The management of the Kidney Hospital in Al-Zawiya city revealed that 70 employees will be laid off because they have not been included in the salary system since 2017.

The hospital administration stated that among the workers threatened with layoffs were 13 doctors, 27 technicians supervising dialysis operations, three pharmacists, and other employees.

It added it had been in contact over the past four years with the Ministry of Finance regarding the possibility of increasing the operational budget, but to no avail.

The hospital confirmed its inability to pay the debts owed to employees, despite all attempts with the government. It indicated it would have to close the reception and dialysis department in the evenings.
