On Monday, Fathi Bashagha, the Interior Minister of the Government of National Accord (GNA), held a meeting with Abdel-Raouf Kara, the commander of the RADA Special Deterrence Forces. RADA controls Mitiga International Airport, and its surrounding neighborhoods.

In a statement, the Ministry’s media office claimed that the Minister discussed ways to strengthen security control, combat organized crime, and terrorism, especially in Tripoli and Tarhouna.

During the meeting, they also reviewed the Ministry’s training plans, for the enhancement of the fighting capabilities of RADA forces. These will provide highly qualified security forces, specialized in combating organized crime, and terrorism. Bashagha appreciated the efforts of the Deterrence Force apparatus, stressing the need for a permanent commitment in facing any security threats, towards the state.
