The Deputy Minister of the Libyan Interior Ministry Faraj Egaim, convened with the heads of the Internal Security Agency and the General Intelligence Agency, along with representatives from the Libyan National Army (GNU) General Command, Military Intelligence, and the Chiefs of Staff of the security units.
The meeting also included the head of the Directorate Support Device, the Security Director, and the head of the Benghazi Joint Security Room.
The discussions focused on enhancing security measures for the upcoming tenth anniversary celebrations of the Dignity Revolution. This meeting underscores a critical collaboration between Libya’s military and civil security bodies to ensure the safety and success of the commemorative events.
The joint discussions aim to streamline coordination and bolster security protocols, reflecting the ongoing commitment of Libyan security forces to maintain stability and protect citizens during significant national events.
Notably, Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar, Commander-in-Chief of the Libyan National Army (LNA), praised the “Karama Shield” military exercise held in southern Sirte, attended by Libyan Prime Minister Osama Hamad and military leaders.
In his speech, Haftar highlighted the armed forces’ ongoing efforts to ensure readiness and defensive capabilities, stressing the National Army’s vital role in protecting the nation.
He declared the National Army as the strong barrier defending Libya, attributing its development to its hard working soldiers, the high sense of responsibility of its leaders, and popular support.
Haftar affirmed the armed forces’ commitment to defending all Libyans and the country’s territory, warning against threats and emphasizing that the army’s dedication is solely to God and the homeland.
He urged swift resolution of the political deadlock for Libya’s peace and security, cautioning spoilers that obstructing progress will lead to extremely unfavourable results for them.
