The Dean of the Faculty Members at the University of Tripoli Osama Al-Azraq has threatened to commence a sit-in next month. In a press statement, Al-Azraq declared: “We have announced plans to enter into a sit-in on June 15th if the government fails to meet our demands.”
He further explained: “Last week, we met with the Attorney General, attended by Omran Al-Qeeb and Adel Jumaa, and the meeting concluded with a commitment to begin addressing the demands of the faculty members.”
The key demands outlined by the faculty include adjustments to the dispatch file and the faculty salary schedule. Al-Azraq concluded, “According to the agreement, there will be a salary increase starting from next June, and the dispatch procedures will officially begin from this Sunday.”
