On her part, Gagnon expressed her satisfaction with the ongoing development in Derna and emphasized the UN’s commitment to maintaining strong coordination and cooperation to achieve shared goals. She highlighted the importance of these efforts for the citizens of Derna and other impacted regions.

Libya has embarked on substantial reconstruction and development initiatives following years of conflict that left many areas devastated. The Libyan Reconstruction and Development Fund is spearheading these efforts, focusing on restoring critical infrastructure and services.

International cooperation is vital for the success of these reconstruction projects. The expertise and resources contributed by various global entities enhance the efficiency and impact of the efforts, ensuring that the needs of affected populations are met.

The continuous development and reconstruction efforts in Derna and other regions are essential for Libya’s long-term stability and growth. The partnership between the Libyan Reconstruction and Development Fund and international organizations like the UN represents a united effort to rebuild and develop the country.
