The International Organization for Migration (IOM) concluded its e-marketing training today, aimed at supporting young entrepreneurs in the city of Sebha who seek to develop their small and medium-sized enterprises. This training was part of the “YESS” project, an initiative funded by the European Union and implemented by the IOM in cooperation with the Ministry of Labor in the Libyan government. The project aims to enhance the capabilities of Libyan youth in e-marketing, enabling them to manage their businesses more effectively and integrate into the local job market with competitive skills.
In an exclusive statement to “Libya 24 News,” Ahmed Fathi, a digital marketing trainer, confirmed that the training covered a wide range of topics related to digital marketing. These topics included content writing and social media page management, along with general e-marketing concepts. Fathi noted that this training represents a vital step in enhancing the capabilities of small and medium-sized enterprises, as each training module offers a standalone job opportunity.
The IOM concluded the e-marketing training in Sebha, targeting support for small and medium-sized project entrepreneurs with skills in social media marketing and applications. Fathi pointed out that the skills acquired through these trainings open new horizons for trainees, whether in obtaining various jobs or improving the quality of their current businesses. He explained that the training requires only further follow-up and practice by the trainees to fully develop these skills, contributing to the creation of new job opportunities in the local market.
The “YESS” project funds e-marketing training in collaboration with the Libyan Ministry of Labor.
One of the participating entrepreneurs expressed his gratitude for this valuable opportunity, noting that the skills he gained will help improve his project’s performance and attract new customers through effective online marketing strategies. He added that the support provided by the “YESS” project to Libyan youth reflects the European Union and IOM’s commitment to developing young people’s capabilities and enhancing their opportunities in the job market.
The “YESS” project is an exemplary model of successful partnership between international organizations and local institutions, providing necessary support to young entrepreneurs to overcome the challenges they face in managing and marketing their projects. Through these initiatives, young people can achieve their professional aspirations and contribute to the economic development of their communities.
Fathi concluded by emphasizing the importance of completing training stages through practical application in the labor market, stressing that continuous training and self-development are the keys to success in the field of e-marketing. He added that entrepreneurs who benefit from these training opportunities will be able to offer high-quality services and products, enhancing the competitiveness of the local market and contributing to comprehensive economic development.
The success of such training programs reflects the collective commitment to developing local competencies and creating a sustainable work environment that allows Libyan youth to realize their full potential, contributing to building a brighter and more stable future for Libya.
