Chinese Foreign Minister Says China Respects The Unity and Independence of Libya

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi stressed that the solutions to the Libyan crisis were peace talks, resumption of reconstruction efforts, and preventing a resurgence of violence so that it does not become a hub for terrorists.

During a UN Security Council’s session on Wednesday, Wang Yi emphasized the need to adhere to the UN’s Charter on the 75th anniversary of its founding. He stressed that China was committed to respecting the unity, independence, and sovereignty of Libya.

On Wednesday, the session of the UN Security Council witnessed a discussion on developments in Libya. The participating countries expressed their rejection of foreign interference, military actions, and the transfer of mercenaries and weapons to Libya.
