On Thursday, the Algerian President Abdel Majid Tebboune appointed Omar Tlemceni to lead the fourth military area in the border region with Libya.
The fourth military region in Algeria includes most of the provinces bordering Libya, and its headquarters are in the state of Ouargla.
A statement issued by the Algerian presidency indicated that Tebboune has appointed Tlemceni as the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and as Defense Minister, to lead the fourth military aspect.
