Libya's Brega Petroleum Ensures Steady Fuel Supply with New Shipments

Libya’s Brega Petroleum Marketing Company announced that the tanker Anwar Afriqya has docked at the Tripoli port, carrying 30 million cubic litres of petrol. The company stated that the process of pumping fuel into transport trucks, which will then distribute it to petrol stations, is set to begin promptly.

In a statement, Brega Petroleum also mentioned that the tanker Asha has started offloading its cargo of 40 million cubic litres of petrol at the Zawiya Oil Port. Additionally, the company is expecting the arrival of the tanker Spirta at the Misrata port. Spirta is carrying approximately 25 million cubic litres of fuel.

This timely delivery of fuel is crucial as Libya continues to address its fuel supply challenges. The Brega Petroleum Marketing Company has been working to ensure that the distribution of petrol across the country is efficient and meets the increasing demand. The company is coordinating with various ports to manage the steady flow of fuel into the country, aiming to minimise any disruptions.

The recent shipments to Tripoli, Zawiya, and Misrata are part of ongoing efforts to stabilise the fuel supply. These efforts are especially significant given the fluctuations in supply chains caused by both internal and external factors. The company reassures the public that all necessary measures are being taken to ensure a continuous and adequate fuel supply across Libya.

The arrival of oil underscores the strategic importance of Libya’s ports in maintaining the flow of essential resources. As the fuel is distributed to stations, the company urges citizens to remain patient, as these efforts aim to alleviate any shortages.
