Libya’s Speaker of the House of Representatives, Ageela Saleh, met with the Chairman of the Administrative Control Authority, Abdullah Qaderbuh, at his office in Al-Qubba on Wednesday.
The meeting, also attended by department heads from the authority, focused on the progress and transparency of the authority’s work and the adherence of government institutions to transparency and disclosure measures.
According to the Speaker’s media office, Saleh was briefed on the authority’s efforts to coordinate with executive institutions to ensure the highest standards of governance and accountability.
Qaderbuh presented the authority’s annual report, along with a detailed ten-year report covering Libya’s government expenditure from 2011 to 2021.
The ten-year report was commended by Aguila Saleh as a unique and unprecedented achievement, providing a comprehensive and precise review of a decade of government spending.
Saleh praised the efforts of the Administrative Control Authority in producing the reports, particularly the ten-year report, which he said represents a significant milestone in documenting Libya’s financial management.
Following the presentation, Saleh instructed the formation of a parliamentary committee to review the ten-year report.
The committee will address any errors highlighted in the report related to government spending and ensure that corrective measures are taken where necessary.
