British companies have expressed a keen interest in investing in Sirt and southern regions of Libya, according to the National Development Agency (NDA) under the Libyan National Army (LNA), as announced on Monday.
The NDA reported that its Sirt office hosted a delegation of top British companies, who met with the Executive Director’s Office Manager and the International Cooperation Office Manager. The visit was overseen by the NDA’s Executive Director, Mahmoud Al-Farjani.
The NDA clarified that this visit aimed to explore investment opportunities for British companies in Sirt and southwestern Libya, focusing on construction, the development and maintenance of educational institutions, and the establishment of high-quality learning centres.
The British companies reportedly expressed strong interest in investing in these areas and showed readiness to conduct field visits to further explore collaboration possibilities with the NDA and its executive management.
NDA representatives welcomed the British companies’ initiatives and reaffirmed their eagerness to establish partnerships in the areas of construction, infrastructure, and educational development.
They highlighted that the “General Command” has instructed the NDA to facilitate foreign investment and ensure high-quality reconstruction projects that meet global standards, encouraging international firms to participate in the region’s development.
