The Chairman of Libya’s National Oil Corporation (NOC), Farhat Bengdara, has underscored the importance of intensifying efforts to execute the corporation’s production increase plan before the end of the year. This aligns with directives issued during the General Assembly meetings last year.
During a meeting held at NOC headquarters in Tripoli, Bengdara emphasised the need to replenish extracted reserves through exploratory activities and seismic surveys. The meeting was attended by board members, company committee heads, and directors of production-related departments.
Bengdara called for enhanced reservoir management, regular monitoring of reservoir pressure, and prioritising safety, environmental protection, and occupational health standards for workers. He also highlighted the importance of supporting employees, particularly those working in oil fields, by providing training programs to develop a new generation of skilled professionals.
Company representatives presented detailed reports on operational progress at oilfields and ports, including rising production rates and daily increases in crude oil and condensate output. They outlined challenges and proposed solutions, confirming that production targets remain on track to meet year-end goals thanks to workers’ efforts.
Bengdara commended the producing companies for their commitment and dedication to achieving objectives within the designated timeline. Senior managers and department heads pledged their full support to overcome obstacles and ensure smooth operations to achieve peak production levels.
