The Prime Minister of Libya’s Government of National Accord (GNA), Fayez Al-Sarraj, met with US Ambassador to Turkey David Satterfield in Istanbul on Friday. They discussed the latest developments in Libya and ways to enhance bilateral relations between the two countries.

The two agreed on the importance of finding a political solution to the crisis and the need to adhere to UN Security Council Resolution 2510 of 2020 and the outputs of the Berlin Conference.

The meeting asserted the necessity of reopening oil fields and ports, and resuming exports under the management of the National Oil Corporation (NOC).
