Libyan Army prepares emergency hospital to confront Covid-19

LNA commander Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar, gave orders for an emergency hospital to be set up in Al-Hawwari, Benghazi to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 virus (commonly known as the Coronavirus).

According to a statement released by the LNA on Sunday, the hospital will be ready within a week and will include 100 intensive care units. The hospital’s preparation and management will be overseen by the appropriate health authorities.

Libya is one of the few countries in the world without a Covid-19 case. The country’s authorities both east and west have been taking preventive measures to limit the spread of the virus which has swept the world in recent months.
