The Foreign Ministry of the Libyan Interim Government, has stated that Ambassador, Abdel Majid Saif El-Nasr, submitted his credentials to the Speaker of the Libyan Parliament, Ageela Saleh. He was appointed as the extraordinary Ambassador to the Kingdom of Morocco, and special envoy of the Parliament, to the Arab Maghreb region.

In a statement, the Ministry added that this was carried out in the presence of Foreign Minister, Abdel Hadi Al-Hwaij. This was during a visit by Saleh, and his accompanying delegation to Rabat, at the invitation of the Moroccan authorities.

Saleh’s visit to Morocco comes after a round of talks held in several European capitals, including Moscow, Geneva, and Rome. He reviewed his political initiative, aimed at resolving the crisis, and strengthening Egypt’s own ‘Cairo Declaration’ initiative.
