The Emirates Diabetes and Endocrine Society has awarded the “Excellence Award” to Libyan doctor Salem Beshyah for his contributions to clinical and academic research.
Dr. Beshyah has been instrumental in promoting research and publications in the fields of diabetes and endocrinology, particularly through his involvement with the Ibn Sina Journal of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences and the Journal of Medical Practice in Diabetes and Endocrinology.
The society, which is the only accredited scientific body in the UAE in this field, annually awards two recognition prizes for excellence in endocrinology and diabetes.
These awards are given to pioneers working within the country, one for academic excellence and the other for clinical service excellence. The winners are selected by the society’s board of directors.
