The Speaker of the Libyan Parliament, Ageela Saleh, called on Libyans to overcome disputes in order to achieve a real consensus leading to the unification of state institutions, and the formation of a national unity government that meets their needs and demands, and achieves justice and equality.

In a statement on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, Saleh pointed out that the dangers facing the country require the abandonment of discord, overcoming disputes and narrow calculations, and prioritising the country’s interests above any other consideration.

He also called for unity in order to restore security and stability and start a new stage of reconstruction for the country.

Ageela Saleh has held a European-Arab tour to discuss the political initiative he launched, which calls for changing the Presidential Council and forming a separate government. This initiative has been met with local, regional, and international welcome.
