In a significant step toward localizing treatment, enhancing healthcare, and meeting the needs of citizens, Libya has inaugurated 17 new healthcare facilities across multiple regions. These projects aim to improve medical services, provide advanced treatments, and expand access to essential healthcare across the country.
Major Healthcare Openings and Upgrades
One of the most notable openings is the International Center for Advanced Surgeries in Al-Gharrarat, which will operate under Spanish management, bringing high-level expertise to the region. Additionally, the Medical Center in Al-Harat has been launched to expand healthcare access to more communities.
Several hospitals have undergone significant upgrades, with new departments and equipment introduced in:
Al-Qawasim Rural Hospital, Gharyan
Yefren Hospital
Awjila Rural Hospital
Al-Rayayna Hospital
Communicable Diseases Center, Benghazi
Expansion of Clinics and Health Centers
To further strengthen primary healthcare, Libya has opened three new polyclinics in the cities of:
