Under the directives of General Saddam Khalifa Haftar, the Libyan Authority for Wild Hunting and Shooting was represented at the IWA 2025 OutdoorClassics, one of the largest international events dedicated to hunting and shooting equipment, held in Nuremberg, Germany. The participation was in response to an official invitation.

This involvement aligns with General Saddam’s strategic plan to develop the sports of shooting and sustainable hunting in Libya and to address the chaos resulting from unregulated hunting, achieving a balance between environmental conservation and the sustainable preservation of Libya’s hunting heritage. The expo, widely attended by international institutions and leading companies in the field of hunting equipment and firearms, offered the Libyan Authority a vital opportunity to explore the latest technologies and exchange expertise with specialists.

The head of the Authority is expected to conduct a series of bilateral meetings with major global companies to enhance cooperation and facilitate the transfer of modern technology to Libya. These efforts are part of General Saddam’s dedicated campaign to reorganize this vital sector and support it with the latest standards and equipment that ensure its sustainability under legal and international frameworks.
