The Libyan Iron and Steel Company announced the start of provisions of nearly 6,000 litres of medical oxygen. It confirmed that the filling process is currently taking place, and will be transported to quarantine centres for treating COVID-19 patients.

In a statement on Thursday, the company said that it had filled the deficit in the oxygen cylinders, used for critical cases.

The company also provided the Supreme Committee for the Coronavirus Pandemic, in the city of Misrata, with a tank of 6,000 litres of medical liquefied oxygen. This is sufficient to fill 900 cylinders.
