Media sources reported that an Islamic State (IS) terrorist, named Ibrahim Al-Ammari, committed a heinous crime by killing his entire family in Tripoli after being released by the Special Deterrence Forces (RADA) recently.
There was no comment released from the deterrent force, whether in denial or confirmation of the release and the ensuing crime.
Following the murders, the defendant was arrested and transferred to a RADA prison again. This militia has gained control over several prisons since the decision No. 555 of Fayez Al Sarraj, which granted broad powers to the force during the war on Tripoli.
It is noteworthy that the RADA force released many extremists during the war to employ them in fighting the Libyan National Army. Among them are those affiliated with IS or the Benghazi and Derna Shura Councils. Government of National Accord (GNA) affiliated Mufti Al-Gharyani and his political movement are still demanding the release of more dangerous individuals, claiming that they are “revolutionaries.”
These extremists were released under various allegations and arguments, including through political and military pressures exerted by the Turkish intelligence services. Others were released by social means and false pledges as a goodwill gesture by RADA.
