The Benghazi Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture has officially received the ISO 9001:2015 certification for Quality Management Systems, becoming the first commercial chamber in Libya to achieve this international recognition.

In a statement, the Chamber said this certification marks the beginning of a new era focused on excellence, efficiency, and sustainable development.

The recognition is the result of a far-reaching transformation in the Chamber’s internal structure, administrative systems, and operational procedures. These changes have reshaped the institution into an effective, internationally aligned organization capable of responding to the evolving needs of the Libyan economic sector.

The Chamber described the certification as a strong indication of Libya’s readiness to embrace real institutional transformation and a reassuring signal to the private sector that service delivery is now aligned with international standards.

“This achievement is not just a milestone,” the statement added, “but a cornerstone for expanding both local and global partnerships with renewed trust and professionalism.”

The Chamber emphasized that modernization is no longer optional but an essential national path for improving economic governance and fostering private sector growth.
