Egyptian Parliament Speaker: Erdogan Has Clear Colonial Stances

Egyptian Parliament Speaker, Ali Abdel-Aal, said that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan had a clear colonial stance towards interfering in Syria and Iraq. The Parliament Speaker added that Erdogan’s ideas, which he described as “satanic”, pushed him to enter Libya. Erdogan was however confronted with a firm Egyptian position, stopping his goals.

Abdel-Aal explained, in a press statement, that Cairo’s position on the Libyan issue was clear from the start. He pointed out that the sitting of the Libyan Parliament Speaker, Ageela Saleh, at the Egyptian Parliament, sent a message to the world that Libya’s security is an integral part of Egypt’s national security.

The Egyptian Speaker expressed his hope that the Libyan conflict would be resolved through political dialogue, away from foreign interference. He also said that the situation in Libya should culminate in a permanent peace, to build state institutions and hold national elections.
