Chairman of the Libyan African Holding Company for Aviation in Benghazi, Ezz El-Din Al-Mishnoun, announced the opening up of Libya’s skies for domestic civil aviation.
In press statements, he confirmed that a meeting was held with the Interim Government’s Transportation Authority. This was to discuss ways to lift the ban between the west and east for domestic flights. This meeting followed a correspondence with the Civil Aviation Authority of the western region, to resume flight services.
In May, Libya suspended all flights from Misrata Airport, as a preventive measure against the COVID-19 outbreak.
