The Charge d’Affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Libya, Wang Qimen, published an article in which he discussed how China overcame the emerging Coronavirus.

“The epidemic has become the first topic that Libyan friends talk about when they meet me,” the Chinese official said at the start of his article. As such, he decided to share information on how China has overcome the pandemic.

According to data released on March 18, no new cases were reported from Hubei Province (the epicenter of the Coronavirus outbreak).

The Chinese official stated that the advantages of the socialist system with Chinese characteristics and the strong leadership of the Communist Party of China were the defining characteristics in facing and defeating this unprecedented threat.

He added that Chinese President Xi Jinping was personally leading the battle against Coronavirus by issuing extensive instructions and directions, and that many measures had been taken to contain the epidemic.

Qimen pointed out that the Chinese people as a whole were to be applauded for uniting against the virus, and that this was one of the features of Chinese socialism.
